Nelson Benefit Saturday, May 22
Family and friends of Fred and the late Mary Jo Nelson of rural Elgin are inviting everyone to take part in a benefit this Saturday, May 22, at the Elgin Community Center. Burgers and the fixings will be served from 5-7:30 pm. All proceeds from the event will help defray medical costs for the Nelsons. Fred has been receiving treatments for cancer and Mary Jo recently lost her battle with luekemia. A free-will offering will be accepted and the funds will be matched by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
If you wish to help by donating groceries or supplies to the event, please contact Joyce Sullivan (843-2332) or Cindy Prater (843-5776).
